What We Can Help With

We are here to support students with the district-issued devices and district-provided software applications that you use for academics. Students and families may reach us by email or phone to get help with any technology issues that may arise. Some examples of issues with which we can help include:

  • Password reset
  • Chromebook not working as expected
  • Chromebook screen or keyboard issues
  • Chromebook connectivity not working as expected
  • Student cannot access their Google Drive
  • VSA/Educator: I cannot access my dashboard
  • VSA/Educator: I cannot get to my lessons
  • VSA/Educator: I cannot access my gradebook
  • ...and much more

On the Chromebook, most of the issues that students experience may simply be fixed by CLEARING THE CACHE or by restarting your device. Also, make certain to UPDATE YOUR CHROMEBOOK  on a regular basis (especially if you notice the apps aren't loading or your computer is just acting unusual). Please keep your devices clean and free from debris and scuffs/scratches to ensure that they continue to work as expected.

FOCUS and VSA/Educator accounts are separate and display information for a student's account. The best place for parents to view a student's attendance and information is through FOCUS and the FOCUS parent app. For assignments, lessons, and grades, the best place to view is actually VSA/Educator.

Please know that we cannot offer support for non-district devices nor software applications. This is also true for any extensions that students may find available to help them with their work. However, we are here to help with your academic success and will do what we can within the parameters of the district's acceptable use policy and technology processes that LCSD and LVS use daily.
