LVS SCHOOLWIDE TESTING CALENDARS

Non-College Reportable (NCR) SAT

This an assessment offered to give another opportunity for students to meet the FSA ELA graduation requirement.  The benefit to it being NCR is that ALL students get an additional 50% time on each section.

  • This is available to seniors ONLY per College Board guidelines
  • Again, this is only for students who need to meet the FSA ELA graduation requirement.  If they also need the Algebra 1 EOC, they should be included.  If they only need the Algebra 1 EOC, they should take the PERT assessment instead.
  • No additional accommodations are allowed.
  • There is no make-up testing for NCR SAT.

College-Reportable (CR) SAT

This is funded by the CARES Act.  The State’s purpose for this assessment is help students with college admissions and the Bright Futures Scholarship Program.

  • Each school decided in the Fall how they wanted their CARES Act allotment split between ACT and SAT. No student may take both the CARES Act SAT and the CARES Act ACT.
  • While the main purpose of this is to assist with college admissions, it absolutely CAN be used to meet the FSA ELA and Algebra 1 EOC graduation requirements.
  • Accommodations are permitted.  We do have an obligation to work with families on requesting accommodations for this assessment as it is provided by the state.  The deadlines for all accommodations requests for students with disabilities has been given to each school

College-Reportable ACT

This is funded by the CARES Act.  The State’s purpose for this assessment is help students with college admissions and the Bright Futures Scholarship Program.  We’re excited to use this data to compare SAT And ACT in light of the higher concordant and comparative scores to see what benefits our students!

  • ACT has set up a special page for Florida for CARES Act testing.  You can find it at https://www.act.org/content/act/en/products-and-services/state-and-district-solutions/florida.html.
  • Accommodations are permitted.  We do have an obligation to work with families on requesting accommodations for this assessment as it is provided by the state.  The deadlines to submit accommodations were given to schools.
  • You may see references to computer-based testing.  We are participating in the paper-based testing only.  You will also see references to windows.  We are Test Window 1.  You will also see our test date referred to as Late Spring.
  • “Ordering” tests is a bit different for ACT.  It’s based on students in the platform.  Therefore, we must process school lists of students who will be testing.  More information about this will be sent to ACT schools soon.  Anticipate a deadline of mid-February.
  • As many of us have never been responsible for coordinating ACT, so please thoroughly review the Administration Process Overview page.
