What is the LVS Chromebook?

A Chromebook (provided from the Lee County School District) is a type of computer that combines simplicity, speed, security, and a long battery life at an affordable price to the district. Long battery life is one of the Chromebook’s best features which allows students to utilize the device through an entire day without having to plug it in to continue working.

Receiving Your Chromebook

Chromebooks are typically distributed to students within the first few days of the LCSD school year. The student Chromebook Package includes

  • 1 Dell Chromebook
  • 1 Power Supply (2-pieces)
  • 1 Protective Sleeve/Case

Receipt and use of the Chromebook (along with all accessories) is a requirement for all LVS students. Students may choose to supplement the Chromebook and also utilize personal devices, such as printers and USB storage devices, to support the tools and apps provided on the Chromebook. The Chromebooks are updated regularly and notices will be sent to students and families when necessary updates are required.
