Lee Virtual School (LVS) is a school within the School District of Lee County offering full time and part time online instruction for students K-12. As a public school within the district, LVS follows the district school calendar, policies, and course progressions. LVS offers both regular and advanced courses. LVS offers a standard high school diploma that meets state and school board requirements.
LVS offers part time enrollment for students in traditional schools who would like to take courses their school may not offer, work ahead to graduate early, and/or to meet the State of Florida’s virtual requirement for graduation. Many 8th grade students take a part time course to eliminate some of the elective requirements of high school in order to take other electives offered by their school of enrollment. Our full time high school students are able to work ahead and graduate early if desired. Our graduates then go on to postsecondary education, opportunistic employment, and military services.
Our virtual education opportunity offers students a flexible, innovative, and customized learning model that supports their individual needs, while satisfying state requirements for completion. LVS is dedicated to uphold our mission to expand access for all students to rigorous, relevant curriculum that incorporates skills and knowledge students need to succeed in a global society.
