Step-by-step

1. Press the ESC key + the REFRESH key + the POWER key = all at once (wait)
2. At the next screen, press the CTRL key + the "d" key = all at once (wait)
3. Press ENTER key (enter developer mode)
4. Press ENTER key again (exit developer mode)
5. The device will enter and exit developer mode
6. If prompted, click on the button that says "Get Started", or
7. If prompted, click on the button that says "Done"

That's it! You successfully reset your Chromebook to better working order!
